QWhat do new Technician accounts receive when they register?
ANew Technician accounts receive a welcome package valued at approximately $49 (North America pricing) at no cost — no credit card required. It includes free Credits valid for up to 6 months, a 1-month trial of Custom Mechanic Software, and a 1-month trial of the 3-Member Team Order Transfer feature. Mechanic accounts are always free and have no welcome package.
QDoes the Mechanic pay anything?
ANo. The Mechanic client is completely free to download and use. Only the Technician (the remote expert) needs a subscription or credits.
QWhat is a Credit and how is it consumed?
A1 Credit = 1 hour of cumulative connection time. For the same order on the same Mechanic PC, up to 2 Credits can be consumed within 24 hours — after that the session runs free until you disconnect. The counter resets if the Mechanic switches to a different PC, or after 24 hours.
QWhat happens if my Credits run out during an active connection?
AeLinehub never interrupts an active session — your connection continues until you disconnect. After disconnecting with no Credits remaining, you cannot start a new connection until you purchase more.
QDo unused monthly Credits roll over?
ANo. Included monthly Credits expire at the end of each billing cycle. Additional Credits purchased separately are valid for 1 month from the purchase date.
QIs my subscription tied to a specific computer?
ANo. Your subscription is bound to your Technician account, not to any machine. You can log in on multiple Technician computers with the same credentials — switching between your own machines never consumes Credits, even mid-order.
QCan I switch or cancel my plan at any time?
AYes, in the Technician software. Upgrades take effect immediately with a pro-rated charge; downgrades take effect next billing cycle. You can cancel anytime — your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period.
QWhy do I subscribe in the software, not on this website?
ASubscriptions are processed securely inside the Technician software, binding the license to your account and verifying your Windows environment.
QCan I subscribe under the pricing of a different country?
AeLinehub assigns Relay Servers based on the country selected at registration, which cannot be changed afterward. Using the wrong country means a farther Relay Server, higher latency, and degraded remote diagnostic performance. Always select your actual country.
QWhat does Custom Mechanic Software include?
AIt generates a white-label (custom-branded) Mechanic client with your logo and software name. Orders are team-exclusive without a passcode, keeping clients yours. Auto-updates in sync with the standard version. Included in Enterprise; other plans subscribe separately.
