How Remote Diagnostics Works
Getting started with eLinehub is simple. The repair shop installs the Mechanic Software and the remote expert installs the Technician Software. The shop uses its existing VCI, plugged into the vehicle and the computer. Here’s how the remote diagnostic workflow works:
Step 1: Shop Submit a Diagnostic Job
The mechanic in the repair shop creates a diagnostic request through the Mechanic Software.
Step 2: Technician Accepts the Job
The remote technician reviews the request and accepts it in the Technician Software.
Step 3: Technician Connects to the VCI
The technician securely connects to the shop’s VCI device via eLinehub and gains real-time access.
Step 4: Complete Diagnostics and Programming
Using OEM software, the technician performs diagnostics and programming remotely, while the vehicle and tools remain on-site.
The process is software-only, fast, and secure. No new hardware is needed—just the shop’s existing VCI. All sessions are encrypted, setup takes only minutes, and support feels almost like having the expert right there in the shop—without travel or equipment shipping.
